OsteoFill™ Gel is our lead product, currently in development for bone void filling and local infection management — with future platform generations planned for pain management and oncology drug delivery.
Osteomyelitis and Bone Infection Management
Post-surgical pain management (future platform generation)
Oncology / solid tumor applications (future platform generation)
An osteoconductive hydrogel designed to support bone repair and localized drug delivery.
OsteoFill™ Gel is Norien Biomedical’s lead product, developed to address the challenges of filling irregular bone defects. It remains injectable during placement and gradually forms a gel at body temperature, allowing it to conform to the defect site. The biodegradable material is designed to provide an osteoconductive scaffold that supports bone cell growth and bone repair. Its first planned regulatory application is as a bone void filler for non-load-bearing defects in the extremities and pelvis. Beyond this initial application, we are exploring the hydrogel’s capacity to carry and release therapeutic agents locally, creating opportunities for future orthopedic applications such as infection and pain management.
Lead Product
Enables placement into irregular bone defects.
Gradually forms a gel at body temperature after placement.
Provides a scaffold designed to support bone cell growth and repair.
Gradually degrades as the defect site heals.
Being explored as a carrier for sustained release of therapeutic agents at the treatment site.
OsteoFill™ Gel combines injectable placement, in situ gel formation, and an osteoconductive scaffold in a biodegradable platform designed for irregular bone defects. Its first application is being developed as a bone void filler. The same hydrogel platform is also being explored for sustained local delivery of therapeutic agents, creating a path toward future orthopedic applications.
All programs are in pre-commercial development. Regulatory approval has not been obtained. Timeline projections are estimates and subject to change.
We welcome clinical, academic, and investment partnerships to accelerate translation from bench to bedside.
